Retro Gaming burger bar Calcio opens in Manchester’s Northern Quarter

Last Updated on April 27, 2024

A new retro gaming burger bar, known as Calcio, is now open on Dale Street in the Northern Quarter of Manchester. It provides pub-style food with retro gaming and football shirts. It’s a great time to start up as the Winter World Cup approaches, where all the games can be shown live.

Rochdale burger business, What’s Your Beef Burgers, is working alongside the venue to source quality meat for the Stateside Deluxe, Double Bacon and Cheese, Fiery Bull and the list goes on. It’s complemented by a vast array of alcoholic drinks including bottled beer, draughts, custom cocktails and wine.

For the gamers, there are a variety of booths for iconic consoles like the PS1, PS2, PS3, Xbox original and 360 (Kiosk) and N64. Of course this wouldn’t be complete without some familiar multiplayers like Street Fighter, FIFA, and Pro Evolution Soccer.

Living up to its theme, the bar also features retro football elements, like an old-school international sportswear gallery. They change the gallery around across the year, so there’s always new displays to look out for! No new matches on? Not to worry! Classic matches will be on during the weekend to relive and remember for the football fanatics. A great place to go hang out to game and geek!
