If you’re looking for the perfect retro-themed day out this summer, Retcon 2024 might be exactly the event you need.

Featuring new and old systems for attendees to play on, the event is held by Greenford Computer Club and has been running for several years now. The event takes place on Saturday, 15th June at Greenford Community Centre (170 Oldfield Lane South, Greenford, UB6 9JS), which for us who don’t live in London, is in London. Doors open at 10am, and the event runs through until 5pm.

Working consoles from the past, modern mini consoles and other retro-inspired hardware can be enjoyed at Retcon 2024, with the following provided to keep you entertained:

  • High score competitions
  • Unreal Tournament & Quake LAN party
  • Rare and exotic machines, like the Sam Coupé, Enterprise, MSX/MSX2
  • Classic systems such as the Sinclair ZX Spectrum, BBC Micro, Amiga, Atari and dozens more
  • Original CRT Televisions & monitors for the very best picture
  • Emulator systems such as RetroPie and more…
  • FPGA systems: MiSTer and more…
  • The best home arcade consoles from Nintendo, Sega, Sony, Atari and a whole host of others.

Each ticket for the event also gives you access to talks from industry giants, programmers, and innovators such as:

Tickets are just £8.30, there is limited on-site parking and a wheelchair entrance. While the event takes place over two floors and there is no wheelchair access to the upper floor, the talks (upstairs) are streamed to screens downstairs.
