Akka Arrh remake

Physical Edition of Akka Arrh Comes With An Arcade Cabinet… Almost

We recently reported that Jeff Minter’s reimagining of Akka Arrh was in development after Atari dropped a flashy reveal trailer a few months back.

The title was released on digital storefronts in February, but if you’re clamoring for some physical media to adorn your shelves, you’re in luck!

Atari and Numskull announced a publishing partnership in March, and with it comes a physical release of Akka Arrh. The Special Edition is exclusive to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 and comes with some stickers and x2 arcade cabinets!

Sadly, the arcade cabinets are papercraft models, which is a shame, as Akka Arrh’s addictive arcade gameplay would be a perfect fit for a mini working unit. It’s even more of a shame that Numskull is known for its functional Quarter Scale Arcade machines, including popular titles like Pacman and Bubble Bobble. Still, the special edition comes with a pair of these decorative models to display as you see fit.

Akka Arrh is scheduled for release on May 19th. You can preorder a physical copy for Nintendo Switch, PS5, or PS4 directly from Numskull Games. The May 19th date excludes the PS5, but hopefully, that will be updated soon.
