Evercade Showcase Vol.1 Round-up: New Games, New VS

Last Updated on June 3, 2023

The Evercade showcase has raised the stakes considerably in the world of curated retro gaming consoles…

Blaze Entertainment has revealed exciting new additions to the Evercade lineup, including six new collections. These boast 29 additional games and four new publishers.

The highlight is the Duke Nukem collections, featuring six iconic action games and remastered editions of Duke Nukem 1 + 2. Additionally, Funstock is releasing a limited edition Duke Nukem Evercade VS called the Atomic Edition, available for pre-order with the Duke Nukem Collection 1 & 2.

(In a related development, Blaze Entertainment has been accused of relying on AI generated art to produce promo images for the Duke Nukem 1+2 Remastered games. It has since withdrawn the images and issued a statement.)

The Sydney Hunter Collection and PIKO Interactive Arcade 1 are also set to release in August 2023, featuring three great games from the Sydney Hunter franchise and nine hidden gems from PIKO Interactive, respectively. September will see the release of Delphine Software Collection 1 (featuring various Amiga games) and Sunsoft Collection 1, featuring iconic games from well-known publishers.

“Most exciting year”

“It’s been great to be able to bring the Evercade fanbase an exciting show with many new announcements and big partners coming to Evercade cartridges,” said Blaze Entertainment’s Marketing Manager, Sean Cleaver. “The start of these showcases will enable us to bring more fun news to Evercade fans, new and existing, more regularly and with a greater focus on what we’ve got in our roadmap. And for 2023, this is shaping up to be our most exciting year of cartridge releases yet!”

So, to summarise news from the Evercade Showcase:
