Classic NES Platformer Gimmick Coming to Switch, PS4, and Steam

Classic NES platformer Gimmick is set for a re-release on Sony PlayStation 4 and PC (via Steam) this summer.
This summer we will see an underrated retro title make its way to PS4 this summer! This game which initially launch on the NES will include new features and modes in this port.
Gimmick!, Sunsoft’s 1992 NES platformer is set to release on 6th July 2023 on the PS Store with a physical release for PS4 coming later this year. It has been praised as one of the best games visually for the NES, and with its original launch coinciding with the new success of the SNES. On top of that, the game was only previously released on Japan and Scandinavia, leading the game to have its underground cult following that has built up to this day.
Save the day as a star-shooting, platform-bouncing cutie pie in Gimmick! Special Edition. SUNSOFT’s beloved physics-based action platformer finally bursts onto current platforms enriched with a rewind feature, a time attack mode, online leaderboards, and modern extras!
Bitwave Games have taken the helm in porting this game to PlayStation 4. Bonus features such as online leaderboards, custom save states, rewind and artwork are fresh additions to Gimmick! Special Edition. There is also a new Speed Run mode for those looking to add fuel to the flames.
We love to see retro games that were forgotten be thrown into the spotlight for more gamers to enjoy, as they so rightfully should!
