Last Updated on April 23, 2024

The Commodore-themed Zzap! Live 2024 event will take place this summer on Saturday 24th August.

Taking place at the Holiday Inn at Kenilworth (South West of Coventry, UK), the one day event is a collaboration between Fusion Retro Books, South West Amiga Group, and the Retro Computer Museum.

Tickets for the event are £18 as standard, £10 for under 12s and concessions, and under 3s are free. Also available are tickets with accommodation at the hotel.

If you’re a fan of Commodore computers, this is the event to get to. Kicking off at 10am and closing at 6pm, Zzap! Live 2024’s main event will feature every Commodore system from the PET to the Amiga 4000. (If you’re bored of Commodore, the Fusion Zone will feature SEGA consoles, PlayStation, SEGA Saturn, N64, and more.)

You’ll also find a dedicated Q and A room for 160 attendees which will boast guests that include Rob Hubbard, Andrew Braybrook, Steve Turner, Sensible’s Jon Hare and Stoo Cambridge, and Simon Butler and Paul Hughes of Ocean.

Also appearing is Andy Davidson, who created the original Worms on the Amiga.

Elsewhere on the day there will be competitions, old arcade machines (from the late Archer Maclean’s collection) and a fully licenced bar and food.

Then from 7pm, Zzap! Live 2024 kicks into party mode, with “An evening with Jeff, Giles and Dokk.” This will feature a full blown NUON show, the first in over 20 years. (Here’s a look at the NUON in action.) Also in the evening will be a sneek peak of Neon, Paul Docherty’s Llamasoft documentary and a Q&A featuring Jeff Minter. And don’t miss the raffle, the first prize is an arcade cocktail cabinet.

Tickets for Zzap! Live 2024 are available to buy now from TicketTailor – if you can make it, enjoy it!
