New Roguelike Planet B, Now In Development For Sega Mega Drive/Genesis
Last Updated on March 25, 2023
Overrated Future Federate has just released a trailer on YouTube for their upcoming Mega Drive/Genesis game, Planet B.
Planet B is a procedurally generated Roguelike RPG. The description on YouTube is roughly translated and reads:
“Planet B is a roguelike with randomly generated content. Collect dungeons, items and story elements to live the end of time in a pre-apocalyptic world, alone, connected via the game console of the future…”
As it’s just a teaser trailer, we will have to wait for something more substantial before we can say anything concrete. What’s on display looks promising, and the graphics look solid. The soundtrack is also the most ‘Mega Drive’ sounding score I’ve heard in a long while which is a good thing in my book.
One commenter on YouTube asked if there were any plans for a physical cartridge release, and the developer confirmed that’s the plan.
I’m a huge fan of Roguelikes/Roguelites and cannot wait to see some proper gameplay for this one.
