Marvel Super Heroes on the Sega Mega Drive?

Last Updated on November 15, 2023

It’s nearly 30 years old, but Marvel Super Heroes could have run on the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis.

We like to see old games ported to platforms they were never released on, and this is a great example of such a project.

Marvel Super Heroes is a fighting game developed by Capcom and originally released in the arcade in 1995. It was later ported to the Sega Saturn and PlayStation in late 1997. The game features a roster of iconic Marvel characters, including Spider-Man, Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Wolverine, and Magneto. The game is loosely based on the “The Infinity Gauntlet” storyline from the Marvel Comics universe.

Featuring striking graphics and soundtrack, the original game was popular two-player arcade machine with bright, colourful graphics.

As revealed on Twitter, @GabrielPyron, @RheoGamer, and @ReySilveira28 have been working togetheron a version of the game for the Sega Mega Drive. It looks amazing!

We’re expecting a deeper look at this on the RheoGamer YouTube channel in future.
